It has a fanatic fan and a 76-watt-hour battery that’s the same size as last year’s 15-inch model.
The port selection is reasonable. It has two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, and a Thunderbolt 3 port. This year’s speaker is excellent. They’re not great, but they’re good enough. There are two on the top and two on the bottom, they are clearly audible and can be quite loud.
ROG’s app is too complex. It’s all about making all the charts and tabs look technical, but most people who use them find much of that information worthless and simply complex. It is beautiful in function. It is about aesthetic appearance.
This laptop has an optional AniMe Matrix screen to personalize the rear LED array to perform a variety of tasks. It can have animated GIFs, logos, and many other things. It’s a personalization you don’t see often.

With the default settings, the HP Omen can get a little puffy on the floor and a little warm at high loads. When playing games, place them on your desk or table. Now when gaming, I measured the temperature of the central keyboard between the G and H keys, which was around 39 degrees Celsius or 102 degrees Fahrenheit. The heat in this product is decent, so I think the size and weight reduction of this item makes the GPU trade-off worthwhile for anyone looking for a smaller and lighter gaming laptop.
Thermal testing was done in turbo mode similar to the top-performing auto option with loud but tolerable fan noise. There is a manual option that lets you spin the fan and make it pretty big, which is really annoying. The temperature is lower, but the clock speed is not much faster. As a result, I don’t think most individuals will use the setting.

A 200-watt power adapter with a barrel pin connection is included that takes less than two hours to fully charge if plug-in is required.

It features a 76 watt hour battery that provides 8 hours and 30 minutes of battery life. The AC adapter is plugged into the side and may not be visible. The ASUS ROG Strix G15 G513 has an aluminum cover and a plastic base typically used on low-end models. Laptops are relatively strong, withstanding the increased effort when we twist them. In terms of style, you’ll notice the ROG logo on the metal upholstery and the soft texture that gives it an exceptional feel. The top opens gently with one hand, indicating that the hinges are greased and well balanced.
However, despite the small bezels and the lack of a webcam, the cover is lightweight and brittle, which may appeal to some users. The base is divided diagonally, and in one section there is a pattern created with the letters ROG. The gadget weighs 2.30 kg, and the profile thickness of the thickest part in terms of weight and height is 27.2 mm.
On the other hand, Omen seems to have a more tone-down design and build as it is made entirely of metal. However, HP adds some distinguishing features that indicate that this is an Omen laptop. Especially with the turquoise diamond on the back and the beautiful looking Omen wordmark. It has the same spirit as the Quadrifoglio emblem found on the high-performance Alfa-Romeos. It’s meant to fit and complete the overall aesthetic of the gadget, not the gamer.
The Omen 15 is more durable than ASUS laptops with a solid foundation. The lid of the Omen 15 opens with one hand, the bezel is small, but it also has a webcam. Unfortunately, the top of this model is very curved. If you look at the keyboard deck from the side, you can see the gap with the laptop closed, which can put additional pressure on the display when holding the laptop from the back. The Omen 15 weighs 70g more and is 22.6mm thinner.

ASUS panels have a maximum brightness of about 300 nits, with a maximum deviation of 14%.
